Getting Started & Account Setup

Select Sign Up, provide the required personal and contact information, and follow the verification steps shown during registration. Once your account has been successfully verified, you can begin making international money transfers.

ARMF is an Australian remittance service designed for individuals who need to send money overseas from Australia. Users must meet the applicable eligibility requirements, be at least 18 years old, and successfully complete the required identity and compliance checks.

As a registered remittance provider, ARMF must verify your identity before providing services under Australia's AML/CTF laws. You may be asked for your full name, date of birth, address and a government-issued ID, and sometimes for the purpose of a payment or your source of funds. We cannot process a transfer until verification is complete.

The documents required depend on the information needed to verify your identity. You may be asked for a valid government-issued identification document, such as an Australian driver's licence or passport. In some circumstances, proof of address or source-of-funds documentation may also be required.

Verification time depends on the information provided and whether additional checks are required. Some applications may be completed electronically, while others may require further documentation or manual review. If more information is needed, ARMF will let you know what is required.

No. ARMF is a remittance provider, not a bank or authorised deposit-taking institution, and does not provide stored-value wallets in Australia. When you make a transfer, ARMF may hold your funds temporarily while the transaction is processed. This can include completing identity, sanctions, fraud, and other compliance checks before the funds are paid to your beneficiary.

Your sign-in details are managed by ARMF's secure identity provider. Update them from your profile with that provider; changes take effect the next time you sign in. Keep your credentials confidential and never share one-time codes with anyone.

Sending Money

To send money with ARMF, enter the amount you want to send and select your destination. You can then review the exchange rate, ARMF fee, and the amount your recipient is expected to receive before confirming the transfer. Once you confirm your transfer, ARMF will receive your funds and complete the necessary identity, fraud, sanctions, and compliance checks. Once the transfer is approved, we arrange payment to your beneficiary.

The cost can depend on the amount being sent, destination, applicable ARMF fee and exchange rate. Before completing your transaction, ARMF displays the relevant charges so you can review the total cost before confirming payment.

The exchange rate applied to a transaction is determined at the time of the transfer and shown before you confirm. It may include an exchange-rate margin or spread in addition to the underlying market rate. Your transfer summary provides the information applicable to your transaction.

Most transactions through ARMF are completed within seconds or minutes, but transfer times can vary depending on the destination country, receiving bank or payment partner, currency cut-off times, weekends or public holidays, and any additional compliance checks. In some cases, transfers may take one or more business days. If a transaction is selected for sanctions, fraud, or compliance review, we may need additional information before the funds can be released. However, we provide an estimated transfer time and keep you updated on the status of your transfer.

Payments are generally processed using the account details you provide, so please check the recipient's details carefully before confirming your transfer. If you notice an error, contact ARMF support at support@armf.com immediately. If the transfer has not yet been processed or paid out, we may be able to stop or correct it. Once the funds have been paid to the recipient, we cannot guarantee that the money can be recovered.

You can ask us to cancel or change a transfer while it is still pending and has not yet been processed or sent to the recipient. Once a transfer has been paid out it usually cannot be reversed, so contact support@armf.com as soon as possible.

The amount received may sometimes differ from the amount shown in your quote due to charges applied by third-party, intermediary, correspondent, or receiving banks. These charges are outside ARMF's control. Exchange rates may also change between the time a quote is provided and when a transfer is processed. Where third-party charges are known or reasonably foreseeable, we aim to make this information clear before you complete your transfer.
